Demonoid is back!

Demonoid traieste!

"The Pirate Bay, where some Demonoid users have moved, offered two Swedish servers to the Demonoid team. Sweden is a place where other torrent sites relocated in 2007.

On February 15, 2008, many users reported on the Subdemon Forums that the Demonoid tracker came back online, although it has only been intermittently working since reported. No official statement has been released by any of the Subdemon forum or Demonoid administrators regarding the tracker coming back online around March 15. According to the TorrentFreak news website, the tracker first relocated to Malaysia, and then Ukraine, hosted by Colocall Ltd.

On April 10, 2008, Deimos stepped down as the administrator of Demonoid, citing a number of reasons and "distraction with real-world issues" as the cause. He also states that he is turning over the administration of the site to a close friend and states that "you will all, in the near future, become aware of what the future holds."

On April 11, 2008 the RSS feeds of the site came online, however the links still pointed to the placeholder message. On the same day, approx. at 20:30 GMT the site came back online with the following message in the news section:

"Welcome back!

Since a few months ago, Deimos, the site administrator, lacks the necessary time to take care of the website, because of personal matters he's been needing to attend to. For this reason, he has decided to leave the site staff.

Before leaving, he assigned a new site administrator from among his friends to take care of the site. The old moderator team will continue helping with the site, unchanged. We will try to keep running everything just as it always has been.

The trackers and website seem to be working properly, and should any issues arise, they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The site might be going on and offline over the next days as we work out any problems.

Welcome back, and enjoy your stay!

On April 18, 2008 Demonoid sent out a mass email to its user base indicating that they were "finally back online."

"Hello (username), We are pleased to inform you that Demonoid.com is finally back online. Your account ('username') is back and ready to be used again.

We hope to see you soon! - The Demonoid.com site staff"
